Elizabeth Gilbert

Membership Manager

With a diverse educational background, Elizabeth strives to bring creativity to the philanthropic field. While earning her Master’s degree in Folklore from the University of California, Berkeley, she conducted an evaluation of the cultural impact of cross-sectoral collaboration in multinational petro-chemical development projects. This fostered an interest in socially and environmentally responsible investment and its localized impact.

Before joining Confluence Philanthropy, Elizabeth worked as a researcher for The Global Philanthropy Forum and The African Philanthropy forum. The Forum’s mission emphasized the importance of strategic and meaningful philanthropic partnerships, and Elizabeth is happy to continue this work through Confluence.

Originally hailing from Louisiana and Texas, Elizabeth can often be found working on her folklore podcast, training for marathon swims, or cooking (and eating) Cajun food.
