Ivan Frishberg joined Amalgamated Bank in 2016 to launch a new Sustainability Banking division within the bank and is now the Chief Sustainability Officer. Ivan works as a part of the executive leadership of the bank supporting the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility and ESG goals. He has taken a central role in managing climate policy and shareholder engagement efforts for the bank.
Ivan is on the governing bodies for both the UN convened Net Zero Banking Alliance and the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) and was recently appointed the US Treasury’s Climate Related Financial Risk Advisory Committee. Prior to joining Amalgamated Bank, Ivan’s work had been within the policy and advocacy world focused on climate and clean energy.
