Lisa Renstrom, Chair of The Board

Lisa Renstrom identifies as a Nebraskan, but a decade in the hotel industry in Mexico enhanced her world view while she focused on a business bottom line  -  not a triple bottom.  Fast forward to Charlotte North Carolina she served as local chair of the Sierra Club, connecting her to her core purpose.  This manifested as Executive Director of Voice & Choices, which advanced economic and environmental sustainability through large-scale change models and civic engagement. Later, as President of the national Sierra Club, she strove to engage all Americans in environmental protection and place energy and climate at the top of the Clubs priorities. Place based in DC, as President of Rachel’s Network, Lisa led the groups post founder strategic planning to position the Philanthropic Network for a new decade.

Most recently she consulted for Divest Invest Philanthropy then helped launch Divest –Invest Individual, a platform for individuals seeking to acceleration the transition to a sustainable and equitable economy.  Lisa serves as a Board member to Bonwood Social Investments, ecoAmerica, Interfaith Power & Light, GSP Institute, Rachel’s Action Network. Oh yes, undergrad Finance Degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, urban studies and the University of North Carolina, Owner President Management Program at Harvard Business School and a Masters in Public Policy at the Kennedy School.
