SunFunder’s mission is to scale up clean energy access in Africa and Asia by solving the debt financing bottleneck for solar companies that serve people and businesses in off-grid and weak-grid communities. They do this by raising debt funds that blend commercially-oriented private capital alongside development finance institutions, foundations and impact investors, in order to deploy working capital loans, receivables financing and project financing to solar companies in countries such as Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Ghana and India.
