Webinar: Post-Paris Impact Investing Debrief

Please join Confluence Philanthropy for an impact investing debrief by webinar of the COP21 (2015 Paris Climate Conference). For the first time in over 20 years of United Nations negotiations, COP21 aims to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate, with the goal of keeping global warming below 2°C.  The conference includes an array of sessions and side events exploring how impact investors can drive progress toward this goal.

Four Confluence Members and key partners will share their immediate takeaways from COP21, representing a variety of perspectives including that of a philanthropist, investment advisor, asset manager, and leading nonprofit. Panelists will share their insights into what exactly happened at COP21, and what the implications are for reaching the goal of limiting climate change to 2 degrees Celsius. Consequently, what does this mean for the role of philanthropy and impact investing in financing climate solutions, and where do we go from here?

SPEAKERS TO INCLUDE:

  • Geeta Aiyer, President & Founder, Boston Common Asset Management
  • Sean Kidney, CEO & Co-founder, Climate Bonds Initiative
  • Kate Wolford, President, McKnight Foundation (Moderator)
  • Additional speaker TBA

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?

Participation in this event is open to grantmakers and donors, and Confluence Philanthropy Advisor Bay Members only, and is not open to grantseeking organizations, investment firms seeking to fundraise or students.
