Washington D.C. Bioregional Gathering & Bike Tour

Join fellow Confluence members from Washington D.C and the surrounding area for a half-day biking and networking event. Participants will meet up in person to embark on a casual two-hour bike tour of Washington D.C. Sites along the bike route offer the opportunity to look at the intersection of the urban and natural environment. Along the way, we will discuss issues of local development, green infrastructure, and the intersection of social and racial justice in the area. We encourage attendees to either bring their own bike for the ride or plan to rent one on your own from a nearby bikeshare station before we take off. The bike route will end at an outdoor venue for a casual bite, drinks, continued discussion, and networking.

D.C. Gathering Co-Hosts:

  • Ivan Frishberg, Director of Impact Policy, Amalgamated Bank; Confluence Board Member
  • Tom Mitchell, Managing Director, Cambridge Associates
  • Lisa Renstrom, Trustee, Bonwood Social Investments
