How can philanthropic investors interested in renewable energy projects find catalytic opportunities to deploy pre-commercial investment capital and grants resources? What makes an investment attractive to philanthropic investors? In this regard, how can the expanding Green Bank movement help identify new deals, and accelerate the pace of new opportunity generation?
Confluence and the Climate Solutions Collaborative (C2C) will host a special convening for philanthropic investors interested in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate resiliency projects during the UN Climate Action Summit on September 26, 2019, in New York City. The session’s aim is to provide interested organizations a forum to connect with peers and share their investment appetites to provide truly catalytic capital that is not currently present in the marketplace.
The format will enable investors to exchange views on defining reasonable formats and structures for renewable energy investment opportunities that meet this catalytic need, as well as exploring potential new collaborations to enable this capital to flow efficiently. This confidential conversation will be hosted in partnership with Energy Foundation.
Please note: This session is intended for impact-focused investors (philanthropies, mission-focused asset managers, family offices) who are interested in exploring catalytic investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector in the US. The intimate scale of the conversation will encourage a robust exchange of perspectives.
If you are interested in being invited, or know of someone who would be interested in attending, please reach out to Siddharth Thakur for more information. Please reply as early as possible, as availability is limited.
