Hudson Valley Farm Tour at Chester Agricultural Center

As part of the 2021 Practitioners Gathering, Confluence Practitioner members are invited to a field tour and lunch conversation at Chester Agricultural Center (CAC) in the Hudson Valley. The day’s events will facilitate discussion around food systems and investment opportunities that support equitable livelihoods for farmworkers while benefiting the environment and the broader communities. Topics will include farmland access and management, racial justice and equity in agriculture, technological innovations and business assistance that support farmers, the impact of COVID on the supply chain, and the role of agroecology and soil health in supporting biodiversity and a stable climate. Guests will tour the grounds, meeting with farmers and CAC investors.

  • Lindsey Shute, Co-Founder, National Young Farmers Coalition and CEO and Founder of Farm Generations Cooperatives
